KENOPSIA :
The Eeriness of Places Left Behind.
The strange and mysterious atmosphere of a place once animated by human presence, now abandoned and silent.
A neologism coined by John Koenig in his book The Dictionary of Obscure Sorrows, from Ancient Greek κενό (kenó), meaning "empty," and -οψία (-opsía), meaning "seeing."
Pronounced ken-op-see-uh.

The Dictionary of Obscure Sorrows is a New York Times bestseller, filling the gaps of the English language by giving names to our "undefinable sorrows."

Here is John Koenig’s beautiful full definition.
